The company's documents must be in perfect order

Ideally, I should already be using a Document Management System (DMS)

Even without it, though, it is a good idea for me to get used to the type of collaborative work promoted by Google Suite or Microsoft, where multiple team members can work at the same time on a document or spreadsheet, reducing the hurdle of using emails.

If I make use of the services of an outsourced lawyer, accountant or tax advisor, it is a good sign when they also have their own DMS platform in place

For instance, the accountant can show me instantly:

    • What documents came in
    • What documents came out
    • What holiday requests there have been
    • And many others
